Opening at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, a Retrospective Exhibition by the Sudanese Artist Tagelsir Ahmed on June 21st 2010.
Tag elsir Ahmed is a Sudanese painter, graphic artist & designer, Graduate of the Royal College of Art, London, 1962 – Silver medalist and prize winner of a continuation scholarship, as well as the honorary order: ARCA- Associate of the Royal College of Art. Apart from a one man exhibition of engravings and paintings, had participated in many exhibitions such as the "London Group", "the Young Contemporary" and other exhibitions. Taught design basics to art and architecture student in Khartoum till 1968. Itinerant teaching and free lancing in Uganda, Kenya, Saudi Arabia prior to coming to Jordan in 1994 at the Applied Science University and later in the University of Petra, terminating a teaching career.
His style is abstract expressionist with leanings for Figurative topics and landscapes.
The exhibition will run through August 31st 2010.
